Our Music

Note: this post is still a draft and this blog is still under construction.

When we DJ for our swim team we use four playlists. The first playlist, simply titled "Before", is played from as soon as we can set up the equipment to the national anthem, which signals the start of the meet. The second playlist is called "Swim" and is played during the whole meet, from the first race to the last race. This playlist makes up the bulk of our songs. The third playlist is a funky little playlist called "Switchover". This playlist is for when the timers move from one end of the pool to the other because the race has switched from 25 yards (for smaller swimmers) to 50 yards, which is two laps. It's got kind of a silly elevator music type feel. The last playlist is the smallest and called, "After", played right after the last race as everyone is leaving, packing up, cleaning up, and tearing down.
